Abstract :In this paper, we look at the special demands of high-performance computing and why Itanium 2-based HPC solutions are ideal for critical technical and scientific problem-solving applications. The IntelŪ ItaniumŪ 2 processor is at the core of some of the fastest and largest computing systems in the world.
