CommunicAsia and BroadcastAsia Return in June

Leading infocomm and media events, CommunicAsia and BroadcastAsia will return this June with a line-up of over 2,000 companies from 65 countries and regions across the globe.

CommunicAsia 2009 will focus on the latest technologies in applications, solutions and hardware. These include IPTV, Mobile Entertainment, WiMAX, Navigation & LBS, Satellite, Femtocell, e-Government, Green IT, and Mobile Internet. Market leaders such as Blackberry, Google, Huawei, LG and Samsung will display their latest products.

BroadcastAsia will feature the latest in Broadcast-to-Handheld/Mobile TV, Digital Media Asset Management, High-Definition Technology, IPTV, Mobile Broadcasting and Professional Audio Technology.  A key highlight will be a showcase of digital signs or dynamic electronic panels that can be installed in public places.

Organizers are optimistic about a strong visitor turn-out despite the tough economy. According to research firm IDC, the combined telecom services market of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand is expected to reach US$35.7 billion in 2009, which is 10 percent higher than its 2008 performance.

According to Frost & Sullivan, Singapore's total mobile services revenues are expected to increase 4.4 percent from last year to reach nearly S$3.7 billion (US$2.4 billion) this year.

Both events will take place at the Singapore Expo from June 16 to 19.
