Nokia Siemens Networks and Juniper Networks announced that VOO, a leading network operator in Belgium, has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to supply and support the Juniper Networks MX-series Ethernet Services Routers and EX-series Ethernet switches.
The new network will enable VOO to deliver fast, reliable, and customizable multiplay services including Video on Demand to more than 1.2 million homes.
"We selected Nokia Siemens Networks and Juniper for this key project because they are able to deliver a flexible, high-performance, and cost-effective end-to-end solution that enables us to extract more value from our network by reducing operational costs and accelerating service model innovation," said Jean-Michel Adant, CTO at VOO.
VOO's IP backbone consists of MX960 Ethernet Services Routers delivering up to 960 Gbps of switching and routing capacity. It offers support for high-performance multicast, unmatched scalability, price-performance improvements, and stability for service providers delivering multiplay services to subscribers. |
