Citrix Records 28% Increase in Q108

Citrix Systems reported its first quarter financials, recording a 28 % year-on-year growth globally and 18% year-on-year increase in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).

Citrix attributed its favourable financials to the increase in demand for application delivery infrastructure in the APJ region as more businesses are seeking a dynamic and flexible way of delivering applications and desktops to users anytime, anywhere.

“Our strong growth in the Pacific region is driven largely by today’s fast-paced business environment involving an ever increasing number of mobile workers, computing locations,
applications and changing user scenarios,” said Dennis Rose, Vice President, Pacific, Citrix Systems.

“Citrix has a strong history of innovation and prides itself in predicting and staying ahead of industry trends. In line with our vision for application delivery infrastructure, for the next phase of our growth, we are committing ourselves to transforming the static data centers into dynamic delivery centers and enabling ‘green’ initiatives through end-to-end virtualization technology.”

Moving forward, Citrix said it plans to sustain strong growth momentum in the region through two flagship products from the Citrix Delivery Center product family— Citrix NetScaler MPX Web application delivery appliances and Citrix XenDesktop-- that aim to address green technology concerns in the data center which has become a “hot” topic today.
