Proofpoint Appoints New ASEAN Manager

Proofpoint, a provider of unified email security and data loss prevention solutions, has appointed a new Manager of its ASEAN business.

In his new role, Edmund Looi will be responsible for driving Proofpoint’s growth in the region through capitalizing on new business opportunities, expanding the customer base further and forging stronger partnerships with the channel partners.

“Proofpoint is going through an exciting growth phase in Asia Pacific. We have increased our revenues by over 250 per cent in under two years and are currently contributing 10 per cent of new business growth globally,” said David Habben, Regional Manager, Proofpoint ASEAN.

“We are confident that Edmund with his strong industry knowledge and experience will help propel Proofproint’s growth in the region even faster and further.”

With over 8 years of experience in the security industry, Looi has worked with several leading IT solution providers, large multinational companies and telecoms such as IBM and Nera Telecommunications Ltd, where he spearheaded a security business unit and grew it to become an annual 5 million dollar business.
