Software colossus SAP has been hard at work revamping its executive appointments-- bringing onboard executives from rival Oracle-- to boost its Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) operations.
SAP APJ this week announced the appointment of Paul Marriott as Vice President, Business Development – Platform, Asia Pacific Japan.
A former Oracle employee, Marriott will be responsible for accelerating revenue growth in APJ by extending the strong business value of the Business Process Platform powered by SAP NetWeaver to existing and new customers.
In his new role, Marriott will assume responsibility for strengthening regional capability to drive the business and for executing SAP’s strategy for co-innovation in the SAP ecosystem of partners and customers.
“I am confident Paul’s broad experience and proven track record will enable him to successfully take on the challenges and opportunities for his new position, as SAP continues to serve as one of the leading software providers in the SOA space,” said Simon Dale, Senior Vice President Specialist Solutions and Chief Technology Officer, SAP Asia Pacific Japan.
“Paul shares our goal of helping customers run their businesses better through speed and agility to gain a competitive advantage.”
Parallel to this announcement SAP ANZ this week appointed Adaire Fox-Martin to the role of Vice President (VP) for Public Services for SAP Asia Pacific and Japan.
Also an ex-Oracle employee, Adaire will be a key member of the SAP leadership team and provide strategic direction and oversight to SAP’s Public Service activities in the health, education and defence sectors across the region. She will also play a lead role in increasing SAP’s offering to public sector customers and will report to Diane Fanelli, Senior Vice President Industry Solutions.
“I am looking forward to working with the SAP team, building on the company’s recent growth and extending our position in Asia Pacific,” said Adaire. |
