Macquarie Telecom Partners Greater China Telco Leader

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions provider Macquarie Telecom expressed plans to expand its footprint in the Asia Pacific region, through its latest partner collaboration with Greater China telco leader – CPCNet.

Through this latest collaboration, Macquarie looks to tap on CPCNet’s extensive range of communications products and managed services, with emphasis on Greater China and Asia. It also seeks to leverage on this alliance to offer its customers more value added services than before.

According to research firm AMI, Asian SMBs’ spending on telecommunications will be over USD 50 billion.

Macquarie Telecom believes that strong carrier partner relations will maximise its regional growth in this market, especially in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Hong Kong.

“Macquarie Telecom’s focus has always been on the mid-size market, in which we own a significant 20 percent market share,” said Larry Morgan, Managing Director, Macquarie Telecom.

“Whilst our competitors focus on investing in infrastructure, we believe in investing in partnerships, systems and our people – ensuring maximum cost efficiency for our customers.”

The new alliance between CPCNet and Macquarie Telecom interconnects the MPLS networks to offer customers better reach into the Asia Pacific region, as well as enhanced network services with the highest level of resilience and redundancy. In addition, with CPCNet’s fully meshed network and its team of professionals in Greater China, this means greater support for Macquarie Telecom’s customers.

“With this partnership, CPCNet is able to draw upon the hybrid VNO model that Macquarie Telecom has so successfully implemented. We see the company as the perfect partner for us for this target segment due to the high level of accountable service, which corporate customers are seeking. Complemented by our strong experience in Greater China, we are confident that this new alliance will enhance our product offerings, deliver greater value and operational efficiencies to our customers,” said Stephen Ho, CEO, CPCNet.

Founded in July 1992, Macquarie Telecom is one of Asia Pacific’s first deregulated telecommunications companies and holds carrier licenses in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
