RAZR2 Cuts through Competition at GSMA Asia Mobile Awards 07

Motorola’s ultimate iconic feature phone – the MOTORAZR2 V9 – has coveted the ‘Best Mobile Broadband Handset/Device’ category at the GSMA Asia Mobile Awards 07.

The category was open to all global manufacturers of mobile broadband (HSPA) enabled handsets, devices and smartphones that are sold into Asian markets.

Nominated handsets and devices were judged on a number of product attributes that included functional and physical design innovation; product performance; simplicity of use (such as an intuitive user interface); the wide range of applications and features supported; and unique attributes (key market differentiators or Unique Selling Points).

“We are extremely proud that the MOTORAZR2 V9 has been recognized by the GSMA as the best HSPA handset in Asia,” said Mark Shockley, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Devices East Asia.

“With the RAZR2, Motorola took the world’s best selling phone, the MOTORAZR, to the next level. The RAZR2 delivers the ultimate mobile experience in a slim, strong and smart form that people will want to own, and others will envy!”

Faced with the challenge of redesigning the most-desired phone in history, the Motorola team said it depended on its one critical asset – feedback from millions of RAZR owners worldwide.

The MOTORAZR2 V9 is sleeker, smarter and stronger, offering a new, richer multimedia experience with and packed with innovative applications such as CrystalTalk technology, up to 2GB of on-board memory, Web browsing, real-time point-to-point video and ultra-fast menu navigation.
