If market rumours are to believed, Apple, in a bid to increase the sales of its iMac laptop, is launching a new slimmer version. It is said the new version will be black and have aluminium finish. It is also rumoured that the laptop will not have any optical drive and will come with a NAND flash memory to supplement the hard drive.
The laptops will also lose its DVD writer or reader and instead have space for USB. The slimline MacBooks’ screen bezel is much thinner, so the LED backlit screen will almost reach the edge of the enclosure.
The laptops are believed to be under production and scheduled for launch along with Apple’s leopard software. Just six months ago, Apple revamped and launched a completely new line of iMacs and desktop computers. The it launched iPhone, which is of late receiving more bad press than good at the time of its launch.
Now the news of a new range of laptops. There’s something really important going on in Apple. |
