Graphics chips maker Nvidid is rolling out a graphics chip embedded in the main collection of components that make up a personal computer. With this launch, the company is readying an assault on its biggest rival Intel in the integrated graphics chip market.
Nvidia said its new chip, GeForce, gives desktop PCs the performance of an entry-level separate graphics processor unit.
Nvidia already has 62 per cent market share for integrated graphics on AMD chipsets based Motherboards. But its market share on Intel powered PCs is less than 1 per cent.
Nvidia said its GeForce 7150, 7100 and 7050 chips will support the Intel desktop PC processor range, such as Core 2, Pentium and Celeron. |
