Google To Sell Ads Within Widgets'

Google says it will cash in on the Internet's latest craze by distributing ads within "widgets" – the interactive capsules that bring more dynamism to the Web pages.

The move is Google's first attempt to make money from a trend that the California based company has popularised. The Mountain View, California based company has been offering a platform for showcasing widgets that blend data, text, images and software programmes, for two years.

Google says more than 14,000 widgets will be made availale initially. Technology companies such as Yahoo, Apple, Microsoft, and Facebook, also have turned the Internet into a widget factory.
