Qlogic, a provider of Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), stackable switches and blade server switches, has joined the Oracle PartnerNetwork and the Oracle Unbreakable Linux Program, and offers full interoperability of QLogic SANblade Fibre Channel HBAs with Oracle Enterprise Linux. This milestone makes it easy for Global 2000 data centers to integrate market-leading SANblade HBAs with a wide range of products from other leading Storage Area Network (SAN) solution providers.
QLogic SANblade Fibre Channel HBAs are already part of Oracle Validated Configurations, pre-tested, validated architectures with software, hardware, storage, and networking components with included documented best practices for deployment. Oracle and its strategic partners offer and recommend these configurations to enable end-users to deploy tested solutions to achieve standardisation with high performance, scalability, and reliability while lowering infrastructure costs.
"Through our continuous commitment to enhancing Linux solutions, the relationship between QLogic and Oracle expands the reach and deployment of market-leading SANblade Fibre Channel HBAs in mission-critical environments," said Amit Vashi, senior director of marketing, QLogic Host Solutions Group. "The QLogic and Oracle relationship around the Oracle Unbreakable Linux Programme enables us to exceed our mutual customers' expectations in Global 2000 data centres."
