Microsoft and Novell Detail Future Plans |

Microsoft and Novell have revealed a roadmap for the future that details collaboration and product interoperability and stable enterprise environments in four chief areas. The two companies claim to be swallowing their differences so that they could work together and mutually co-exsist.
Microsoft’s ulterior motive is to keep off VMware as it creeps onto on Microsoft's server territory. For this task the company needs good virtual host for other operating systems. This is the reason why Novell comes into the picture. On the other hand, Novell's SUSE Linux can only be helped by working in Windows environments. W
Regarding the hue and cry about Linux’s infrigement upon Microsoft’s territory Microsoft claims there is infringement, but says it won't sue Novell customers because of the agreement. Under the trems of the agreement Novell and Microsoft will refrain from from suing each other's customers for patent infringements.
