Portable Apps Suite Lets Software Programs Run on iPod, Flash Drives |

PortableApps.com has launched Portable Apps Suite and the latest version of its Mozilla Firefox Portable Edition. With more than seven million downloads to date, PortableApps.com claims to bring computing to the pocket, letting users take their favorite applications anywhere and access these on a PC of choice, without installing software or leaving data behind, as per a statement issued by the company.
The company touts the sevice by saying that the free software application can be carried on any storage device, including USB flash drives and iPods. Key benefits include instant access to a web browser with favorite bookmarks, as well as universal e-mail with all contacts and settings. Portable apps from PortableApps.com contain no spyware or advertisements and are free to use, copy and share, the company is quoted to have said.
