Yahoo To Reorganise Leadership Team

From being a darling of the Web 1.0 era to being frowned upon now, Yahoo is surely not taking down its downfall. CEO Jerry Yang, who came back to the company after Terry Semel was fired, has decided the revive the fortune of the portal that is still the world’s top site....

From being a darling of the Web 1.0 era to being frowned upon now, Yahoo is surely not taking down its downfall. CEO Jerry Yang, who came back to the company after Terry Semel was fired, has decided the revive the fortune of the portal that is still the world’s top site.

So, Jerry is holding a meeting of his lieutenants to map out his strategic plan for the company going forward. This is the next step in executing on his promised 100-day plan back in July.

A Yahoo spokesperson said, “Jerry Yang and Sue Decker are committed to making significant changes in the way Yahoo! operates to improve execution and build a winning culture. They are very focused on motivating and aligning key leaders throughout the company to achieve a clear set of goals, and tomorrow’s senior management meeting will be an important step in that direction.”

Additionally the company is announcing a new shift away from premium services in the music group, which includes music, games, TV and movies.

Although Yahoo is not shutting these down, it is now focusing more on free content while relegating its subscription based service to second place as they are not doing well.
