French IT services company Capgemini has tied up with Google in a bid to make Google Apps more appealing to a wider audience.

Right now Microsoft dominates the global apps market and Google is trying to create a market for itself in the apps business.

The two companies have come together to announce a partnership under which Capgemini will offer desktop support and installation services to large corporations that use Google Apps Premier Edition.

Capgemini says despite the fact Google apps are mainly being used by small companies and individuals, it has the potential of being deployed and used in a large companies.

The Google consists of Web-based Gmail, a calendar, and document editor suite and
Capgemini will provide support to corporations and customize it to fit a company's business processes.

For Google this tie up is an sure shot way to enter large companies who at times tend go with a old technology rather than adopt a new technology.
